What is Neon Dream?
Neon Dream is a dating experience crafted for those who seek more than surface connections. Inspired by the captivating energy of cyberpunk aesthetics, it combines a neon-lit atmosphere with a community-focused design to foster genuine relationships. Imagine stepping into a virtual bar, where you can scroll through profiles, send virtual drinks, and strike up conversations as naturally as if you were there in person. Neon Dream isn’t just a platform—it’s a welcoming space for meaningful interactions, where each story has a place to grow, and every connection feels real.
Who are we?
Hi, I’m Mark, founder of 7 Stones and creator of Neon Dream – a dating platform that I believe can bring back the excitement and authenticity of meeting someone in a real, atmospheric space. Let me share a bit of my journey with you.
My dream began with a love for bartending and a fascination with the cyberpunk genre. There’s something magical about the bar environment – the warm lighting, the energy, the comfort of good conversation over a drink. It’s a place where people feel connected, at ease, and open to meeting others. I wanted to take that vibe and translate it into an online dating platform, giving people a space that feels more personal, welcoming, and interactive than the usual swipe-and-scroll experience.
Creating The Neon Dream became even more meaningful for me as I realized how disconnected people can feel with traditional dating apps. It’s frustrating to pour yourself into conversations that go nowhere or jokes that fall flat because there’s no shared context. I wanted to create a space where people could come together, in a digital bar of sorts, with a virtual bartender and a relaxed atmosphere that encourages genuine connections. A place where interactions feel like they matter.
This journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Building a startup from scratch, especially with limited funds, is hard. I started 7 Stones Limited, with nothing more than a few thousand dollars in my bank account and a big dream. Every decision has been calculated to stretch those funds while moving the vision forward – from hiring artists to create the first visuals to finding developers who believe in the project. I even spent time learning about app development and design on my own, just trying to piece together what I needed to bring this to life.
The idea evolved, and I realized that for many people, including myself, a digital dating platform could be more than just profiles and messages. It could be a place that feels alive, that embodies the thrill of meeting someone at a bar. That’s where the cyberpunk, neon-lit aesthetic comes in – it’s bold, it’s calming, and it represents the world I want to invite users into.
